"We fell in love with the character and the coziness of the property, lots of cute features, such as the original beams in the living room, the old fire place in the bedroom and the high ceilings throughout. The whole flat flows together and we’ve made the most amazing memories in hosting friends and family, especially in the dining room with dinner parties and games nights. We worked really hard on the living room to get it to be a cozy haven for us and that’s exactly what it’s been; the heart of the house. 

We will miss the street, it is very cute and super quiet with the burn just behind the property, and has a whole mix of neighbours from older retired couples to young families and first time buyers. The autumn colours of all the trees is a favourite to look out onto and you really feel like you’re in your own wee world even though you are so close to the Main Street and all the amenities. The Volunteer Arms has recently been refurbished and has great food and live entertainment, only 2 minutes walk from door to door. John Lawson butcher steak sandwich is a right of passage for Uphall and will never disappoint."
